How it started

How it began

As we fell in love with infrared heating, we transformed our own house by changing from unattractive standard radiators to beautiful designed infrared (IR) panels in colours matching the rooms, whilst saving 63% of our energy bill and moved from fossil heating to green electricity. It does take getting used to very comfortable heat in hot-spot areas as study desk, diner table, kitchen, couch and bathroom, whilst the rest of the house is on a lower base temperature, feeling somewhat chilled. Not those who can adjust to this, most people adjust within 1 to 3 weeks but not everybody, it is a great solution. It sounded too good to be true and in this rare case to us it is.

This inspired us to start writing about infrared heating applications and technologies (initially in Dutch) and even include a webshop. Today, the ambition is to find and write about many more sustainable heating solutions across the globe to inspire, create warmth, a beautiful world and reduce your energy costs.
